Information and referral - Information about the disease, research and existing community resources are available. Support and consultation - Individual and Family Services (IFS) staff and volunteers are available to support persons with MS and their families. Visitation programs, peer contacts and support groups are offered throughout Ontario. Funding assistance - Under the organizational guidelines for the Special Assistance and Equipment programs, funding may be available to assist in necessary equipment and services. Education - Education sessions are provided by staff and volunteers for the persons with MS and their families, chapter members and health care professionals. Community contacts - Local chapters provide a variety of community activities including group recreation programs such as yoga, tai chi and aqua fitness. |
