MSSOCTB Board Information The evolution of the Thunder Bay Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society The Thunder Bay Chapter started small, as most fledgling organizations do. It was founded in 1958 with Frank Brian as Chairman and Larry Marrier as head of Advertising and Campaign. In order to spread word about MS to this area they mailed 48,000 letters from White River to Manitoba. In the beginning meetings were held in members homes, but with dedicated individuals the Chapter grew positive recognition. With time and dedication the Thunder Bay Chapter grew modern and efficient with a vast board and modern equipment. From this modest beginnings the Thunder Bay Chapter grew into an organization that raises over $20,000 with a single event.
